Attorney Brad Bondi has lost his bid for president of the DC Bar Association and pretty badly too, as Politico legal correspondent Dan Barnes tweeted the tally for the the two-month long vote putting winner Diane Seltzer winning literally more than ten-to-one at 34,982 votes to Bondi’s 3,490.
“Ticket-mate” Alicia Long’s bid for treasurer was similarly unsuccessful but, at a 26,380 to 8,854 loss to Amanda Molina, not as embarrassing as Bondi’s defeat. Still an embarrassing, crushing defeat.
Long is an acolyte of former Acting DC US Attorney Ed Martin and Brad Bondi is the brother to Attorney General Pam. The whole point of them running was to defang the DC Board of Professional Responsibility, really the only way that any consequences can be wrought upon shitbag MAGA lawyers and Justice Department prosecutors that doesn’t come from the Orange God Emperor himself. So yes, this tiny little bastion of accountability, one that ended alcoholic shitbrain Rudy Giuliani’s ability to practice law in DC, will remain intact for the foreseeable future.
